Bertjan Ziere

Bertjan holds a PhD in BioPharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University and has more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical development across small molecules, vaccines, recombinant proteins, and gene and cell therapies. For over 20 years he worked as an independent consultant, supporting more than 25 companies from start-up to mid-cap on CMC, nonclinical development, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance. He also served as VP and Head of Preclinical Development and CMC at Leyden Laboratories and as Head of Pharmaceutical Operations at Pharming Technologies.

CMC is often where promising academic projects meet their first hard practical questions. Bertjan has spent his career helping teams work through exactly those questions.
